Resilient Like Cinderella
Resilient Like Cinderella
When I arranged this and saw the book titled, "What Happened at Midnight," I suddenly saw Cinderella. Cinderella and her two stepsisters. They aren't even letting her in the vase and are standing so big and proud, while she is on the ground, left to serve others while her own needs aren't being met. "Resilient" is in the title of this piece because it is meant to be a tribute to those who work but are still neglected, to those who feel overlooked or overburdened, or to those who don't feel at home at home. While holding the brush and putting down the details of this painting, that's where my mind went, to all the people I do and don't know. I felt love and ache for the hardships. Stories aren't over, but in the middle... wilting. I have so much admiration for the resilience of people who relate to stories like this.
